I like to get right into the action with my armies and throw money at creating traditional and untraditional alliances that doesn't mean I want the battle and campaign difficulty set to *impossible to lose* I didn't try the beta because I didn't particularly appreciate how they grouped everything up. I don't agree that players who want to fight all what's in the game or even play predictable (whatever that means) translates to wanting the game “easy” I prefer DoC races, WoC, BM, GS, Norsca, OK to be default enemy threat events and have the intensity settings we currently see with WoC. At the end of the day the people who want a simple easy game can turn the settings on easy.Īdding enemy threat events for all races and having a checkmark option would fix the problem of not fighting a specific race. I have also proposed a bar slider setting of increased movement range for the A.I and the player. They have settings for campaign and battle difficulty and optional guide. I think it'll be fine, but you'll *definitely* hear this complaint again and again. I know, I know, the counter-argument is "well then they're dumb" but that's not really how business works. Generally it seems like the majority of people tend to stick to a fairly predictable campaign progression. We already have people complaining that Gelt's startpos force you to only fight Dwarfs, or that it gets boring only fighting Skaven and Lizardmen as Lokhir. You're on the forum, you know what I mean. It feels a little dirty to play them now. True, but a lot of people aren't going to think that way. Look bro, Im all for artistic freedom but in my book, I feel like many gore-based games are going too far. Or secured Naggarond start province only to bee-line to Nagarythe. More often than not, have I simply secured Reikland and gone on a Lustria expedition with the Empire. There is literally nothing that keeps you in your start location. You'll spend like 80% fighting in your own little corner of the world, until you snowball into a mega-empire and just play cleanup for like the remaining three quarters. The real downside of huge maps is that interaction between factions grows increasingly more difficult, irrelevant and late. The only downside I can see with huge maps is increased loading time and end turn speed.
